About The Lecturer

Annabel Tresise is a California-qualified attorney and Australian barrister with extensive international experience in complex litigation, intellectual property, and emerging technologies. She is currently completing a Master of Laws in AI Law and Regulation at UC Berkeley, where her research focuses on AI governance, copyright, and AI product liability. Annabel has represented Fortune 500 companies, technology innovators, and government bodies in high-stakes commercial and intellectual property disputes across the United States and Australia. She is an associate at Wilson Elser.

In addition to her practice, Annabel served on the Executive Committee of the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and has contributed to panels on responsible AI and the future of the legal profession. She has also published and presented on AI, law, and regulation, including co-authoring influential research on copyright and blockchain. Prior to moving to the United States, Annabel was a sessional academic at Melbourne Law School.
