About The Lecturer
Jim advises clients on class action defense as well as regulations governing both established and emerging technology.
Jim has defended large institutional clients against high-exposure lawsuits in both state and federal court, ranging from product liability and wrongful death defense to complex commercial disputes and appellate litigation. This multi-industry legal experience allows Jim to confidently guide technology-focused clients through new and often uncharted areas of law and regulation.
An unexpected change in law or unforeseen government investigation can shatter a company’s entrepreneurial spirit. I provide my clients with the responsiveness and confidence needed to navigate some of the most challenging and uncertain phases of business operations.
Prior to joining Kronenberger Rosenfeld, Jim represented clients ranging from small businesses and individuals to automotive manufacturers and financial institutions. Jim gained experience with federal and state regulatory enforcement matters while working for a large Western-region firm, where he served with multistate teams of attorneys tasked with responding to government investigations and conducting sensitive internal investigations for sophisticated corporate entities. Jim’s unique skillset combines a superior command of advanced motion practice, oral advocacy, and the rules of discovery and evidence, with strong investigative instincts honed during his previous career as an analyst for a private security firm.
Too often advocates shy away from the investigative and adaptive aspects of litigation. I welcome complex legal issues, and tirelessly work to uncover evidence and develop legal theories by embracing—rather than avoiding—complicated and data-heavy analyses common to technology-focused litigation.
Jim graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law and is licensed to practice in Arizona. In his spare time, he enjoys orienteering in the National Forests of Arizona.
